Keeping the flame of love burning seems to be a nightmare for couples all over
the world today. The divorce rate is higher today than it has ever been with
one in three marriages ending unceremoniously in divorce. Values have changed
and marriage seems to mean very little to some people.
However, the chances are that if you have been with your husband or wife for
some years then the likelihood is that you won’t be heading to court anytime
soon. That is not to say that it is any easier keeping romance alive and many
baby boomers seek out romance tips to try and keep things interesting.
When it comes to retirement, you’ll be spending a lot more time with
your spouse, which can be hard after years of spending time at work and thus
away from each other. It is important to start working towards getting to know
each other again and putting touch of romance back into your lives rather than
leaving it until you both retire. The following romance tips can really help,
so get in the mood!
Romance Tip One
Set aside one day a week to spend together. If you spend time around each other
with nobody else there then you’ll get to know each other again.
Romance Tip Two
Ban the TV from your day or evening. Without the TV to distract you, you’ll
have to talk to each other. Spend time reminiscing about the good times you’ve
had together and the love will come rushing back.
Romance Tip Three
Get creative! Dinner and a movie is all well and good but it gets boring after
a while so put some spice back into your life by having a candlelit dinner at
home, or writing each other a poem. Just think outside the box and do something
that you don’t usually do!
Romance Tip Four
Finally, make an effort! If you both make an effort then the romance will return
or remain, but if one of you cannot be bothered then what is the point of the
relationship?

I have been looking for a better rosacea remedy lately, I have noticed that
my skin has been a little darker than the normal pink. It gets dark pink when
its too hot and I also noticed the skin next to my nose has gotten a bit bigger
than I thought it was. It is not anywhere else and I am getting frustrated.
Also I have been using Aveeno Ultra Calming and it doesn’t even work. What do
I do?
There has been some discussion in some forums of the recent studies implicating
that higher levels of certain peptides (cathelicidins) can have an effect in
the development of rosacea. So I’m feeling a bit cautious and more than a little
concerned about introducing a rosacea remedy with any peptides to my skin.
The Neostrata Company from Canada has introduced a new rosacea remedy called
Wrinkle Repair that may actually do just that (at least that is what I have
been reading). The active ingredient seems to be another peptide called (Matrixyl)
which appears to be available in a great variety of other products as well.
As a woman in my late thirty’s having had rosacea for the last six and a half
years, I have tried make-up and concealer and possibly all the products for
rosacea at my local drug store including Calm and Correct Line for Rosacea Skin
by Joey of New York and Clinique Redness Relief for Rosacea Skin both of which
close friends had recommended.
Getting back to my question about the Neostrata Company’s new product called
Wrinkle Repair I wouldn’t mind trying this around my eyes and even on my forehead
but in addition to my usual concern in using any new skin products, there is
the peptide issue.
Has anyone here used the Neostrata rosacea remedy product or anything else
with Matrixyl? Did you have any adverse effects from it?

The latest news is that the United States government wants to give illegal
aliens the right to become citizens and allow them to collect social security
after working eighteen months (compared to the rest of us who have to work ten
years before collecting).
I don’t know about you, but that makes me mad. Why do I have to put in for
a minimum of ten years and these people who can here illegally might be able
to collect after working only eighteen months?Social security is already very
unstable. Adding all these other millions of people who did not pay into the
system all of their working years will only make social security topple over
faster, if our government gets their way.
I hope people fight this. It just does not make sense, unless the government’s
goal is to destroy social security and bring this country down. Imagine if you
worked hard all your life, paid into a system that was supposed to provide for
you after you retired, and suddenly that money is gone. What would you do?
You would be in big financial trouble. You might even be willing to let the
government take over everything if they would take care of you. Perhaps that
is what big government plans on happening.
Let’s hope not, but would it really surprise you if that was their plan? What
do you think? Do you have an opinion on this? Please feel free to leave a comment
about why you think the government would give social security to illegal aliens
after they have paid into the system for as little as eighteen months.
Give me some reasons to hope that our government has not turned against us.
In the meantime, I am not counting on getting any social security benefits
when we hit retirement age in another 15 years. My husband and I are planning
ahead and expect to have enough money set aside to cover our retirement years.

Many people wonder just how wise it really is to start learning golf at 45.
Some argue that starting so late is bad because many older adults have health
problems that can complicate the process of learning to golf effectively, while
others argue that it is only excuses that keep older adults from learning to
play. Many others argue that learning to golf so late in life is simply a waste
of time.
The truth lies somewhere in the middle of arguments generally, but in the case
of golf there is no reason why learning to golf late in life is not something
that is possible. From an exercise perspective golf is a great way for older
adults to get out of the house to socialize while they are exercising at the
same time. In addition, the natural movements of golf helps encourage strength
that is necessary for functioning in normal every day life, such as back strength
and even leg strength.
Some argue that learning to golf so late in life is useless because there is
no way that an older adult can carry the golf bag. This seems almost as a silly
excuse, because many golf courses offer caddy’s who are available to help
and assist even younger adults with their golf bags. Choosing the right golf
course can often be a key factor in the success of learning to golf as an older
adult.
Another key advantage that older adults have is the ability to spend more time
learning, older adults tend to be much more patient than younger adults who
are wrapped up into technology more. This flexibility and freedom often makes
it possible for people over 45 to spend more time enjoying the finer mechanics
of golf, rather than trying to rush through a 18 hole course. Deciding how you
personally feel about learning golf after 45 is something that is a personal
decision from within, that only you can decide upon for sure. I’d love to hear
your thoughts….
